The voltage selector switch allows selection of appropriate voltage according to the specifications of the system. Many of the larger (|desktop| and |tower|) models allow selection between 115v and 230v. This allows the systems to be used in other countries which have different electrical networks. The smaller models (especially |palmtops|) often allow selection between standard outlet power and battery power.
